Fishing
Residents can fish for Arctic char with nets in salt water and lakes in accordance with the provisions in the “Regulations on fishing for char in Svalbard” (røyeforskriften). Both residents and visitors can fish with rods and jig fishing equipment where the “Regulations on fishing for char in Svalbard” allows for it and until the seasonal quotas are filled.
